Jeremy Clarkson Opens Up About Relationship with Lisa Hogan Amidst Clarkson’s Farm Success

Jeremy Clarkson has shared an uncommon insight into his relationship with partner and Clarkson’s Farm co-star, Lisa Hogan.

Viewers have come to know the couple through Prime Video’s acclaimed series, which documents Jeremy’s journey adapting to life as a farmer at Diddly Squat Farm.

At 65, Jeremy appreciates how the show captures “the real” version of himself. “It’s the real me on the farm show,” he explained. “There’s no Top Gear nonsense. It’s much more relaxing not to play a part.”

A bonus of filming the series is the opportunity to work alongside Lisa, 52, who is often seen assisting at the Diddly Squat Farm Shop—a venture she co-founded with Jeremy in 2020.

Reflecting on working together, Jeremy said, “It’s all good. It’s not like we’re doing the same thing all the time. I think it’s a happy way to live, to have breakfast together, go our separate ways, and then you’ve got plenty to talk about in the evening. You can go out for dinner and you don’t sit like normal old people, not talking to each other.”

The couple met in 2017 through mutual friends at a party. Five years on, Lisa has made clear she does not plan to marry Jeremy or have more children. Speaking to Fabulous magazine, she said, “Mrs Clarkson? No, thank you, I like Lisa Hogan. We’re at a stage where we are not going to have kids. I’m just happy pootling along.”

Jeremy’s past relationships include his marriages to Alexandra James (1989-1990) and Frances Cain (1993-2014), with whom he has three children: Emily, 30; Finlo, 27; and Katya, 24. Lisa was previously married for thirty years to millionaire businessman Baron Steven Bentinck, with whom she also shares three children.

Lisa described how formalizing her relationship with Jeremy took time as she wanted to be sure of his intentions. “We’d both come out of quite long-term relationships, and I was really happy being single,” she shared. “So I was like, ‘If I’m not going to be single anymore, I don’t want to be with a messer.’ There was [a moment]. I had given myself three months, but it was way before that, where I thought, ‘OK, I really like this person.'”

She added that Jeremy “has a laser brain and will take you down,” which adds a playful and challenging dynamic to their relationship.

Fans of Clarkson can catch him tonight at 9.40 pm on ITV and ITVX for a Celebrity Special of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Meanwhile, Clarkson’s Farm continues to be available to stream on Prime Video.
