Fans of Clarkson’s Farm who find it impossible to reserve a table at Jeremy Clarkson’s bustling pub, The Farmer’s Dog, need not worry. Since opening last summer, the pub has attracted a huge following, fueled in part by the recent Amazon Prime series documenting its launch. The high demand has made bookings at the Oxfordshire venue notoriously hard to secure.
However, Clarkson recently took to Instagram to encourage those without reservations to simply show up and enjoy the experience. “If you can’t get a reservation at The Farmer’s Dog, don’t worry. Come along anyway,” he said. “Head to the tent in the garden, grab a pint and something to eat and sit outside. The food’s brilliant and the view will make your hair itch. It’s amazing. Bring the dog. And the kids. Or don’t.”
The Instagram video featured tempting shots of dishes from the pub, alongside cozy views of the garden and interior. A sign cheekily declared: “You’ve seen the show, now you’re eating the cast!”

While bookings are available for lunch, dinner, and Sunday roasts, spaces fill up fast. For those who can’t get a table, there’s still a chance to visit The Farmer’s Puppy, a more casual spot offering a selection of British farm-sourced food and drinks. The kitchen operates from 9:30am to 3pm Tuesday to Thursday and until 4pm Friday to Sunday.
In addition, the Diddly Squat Farm Shop located at the pub offers fans a chance to buy products featured on the show. Nearby, Hops & Chops—a butcher and bottle shop—provides premium British-reared meat along with Hawkstone lager and cider.
Fans have expressed their excitement and admiration online. One commenter called it “Best from The Cotswolds as always,” while another praised the venue’s perfection and vowed to make a trip from Wales. A third expressed enthusiasm about the “most incredible restaurant” with outstanding food and service, eager to return for another visit.
