Jeremy Clarkson, known for his motoring career before turning to farming, has recently spoken candidly about the many challenges currently facing the agricultural sector. His comments coincide with the announcement of the upcoming Cereals Event, an influential agricultural gathering set to take place at his Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds in June 2026.
The Cereals Event is considered the UK’s premier arable farming showcase, bringing together 550 exhibitors and around 25,000 attendees, according to Agricultural Trader. Despite its large scale, the event remains exclusive to farmers, providing a vital platform for sharing industry expertise, innovations, and solutions to enhance the future of arable farming.
Clarkson emphasized the significance of the event, saying, “Farmers are facing so many issues at the moment, and hosting Cereals was our chance to do something positive for the industry and showcase some practical advice and ideas for food producers.” He added that the event aims to raise awareness about the difficulties faced by UK farmers and foster collaborative problem-solving.

Meanwhile, Clarkson recently surprised fans on social media by announcing a temporary halt to filming his Amazon Prime series, Clarkson’s Farm. While filming is paused, he reassured followers that farming at Diddly Squat continues unabated. His cheeky comment about renting out a pig for “sexual purposes” sparked amusement and a flurry of playful reactions from his audience.
Aside from farming, Clarkson’s pub, The Farmer’s Dog, maintains a strict policy of using only locally sourced ingredients within a 16-mile radius. This commitment to supporting British agriculture led to a refusal of a customer’s request to bring in an outside birthday cake, as reported by The Star and The Sun. The pub’s staff explained that all food must be 100% British to honor their dedication to local produce.
Fans can next see Jeremy Clarkson on ITV’s Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? on Saturday, November 29, from 8 pm to 9 pm.
