Jeremy Clarkson has encountered another health challenge while filming the latest series of Clarkson’s Farm. Despite doctors’ advice to take it easy following heart surgery, the presenter clearly pushed himself too hard.

Known for his hands-on approach to managing his farm and participating in manual labor, Clarkson was seen struggling to catch his breath while attempting to fell a Christmas tree in the second episode of Series 5. This moment starkly highlighted the difficulties he has been facing post-surgery.

Lying flat on the ground beneath the tree, Clarkson worked tirelessly to saw through the trunk. However, his labored breathing eventually forced him to abandon the task. Speaking to his production team, he admitted, “I shouldn’t have done that,” later joking that the “reaper will have to wait” after his heart condition.

The series premiere also marked Clarkson’s first face-to-face encounter with fellow farmer Kaleb Cooper since his emergency hospital admission. In a candid conversation, Clarkson revealed just how close he was to a heart attack, stating that doctors said he had only “days” to live if untreated.

Earlier, Clarkson had opened up about his health on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, reassuring fans he was now “absolutely fine” and had lost weight thanks to “fat jabs.” He described the previous year as “fraught” but emphasized that he was feeling well again.

Looking ahead, Clarkson hinted that this latest series of Clarkson’s Farm would be the most dramatic yet. “It gets more and more dramatic towards the end,” he teased, choosing not to reveal more ahead of the show’s release.
