Jeremy Clarkson Faces Setbacks in Pub Hunt on Clarkson’s Farm Season 4

WARNING: THIS STORY CONTAINS SPOILERS

Season four of Clarkson’s Farm has returned to Prime Video, featuring Jeremy Clarkson’s latest venture: the search for the ideal pub location to complement his thriving farm shop at Diddly Squat.

Determined to attract more visitors without overcrowding the existing shop, Jeremy toured several pubs with his partner, Lisa Hogan, hoping to find a venue with potential. One notable stop was the Coach and Horses, a property that had seen numerous owners over the years.

While the exterior of the building showed promise, complete with an attached five-bedroom house, a large garden, and an old stone barn that could serve as a farm shop or butcher, the interior revealed a different story. Upon entering, Lisa’s enthusiasm quickly faded as she encountered dirty fridge freezers, bugs, and abandoned pots of food.

Upstairs, the condition worsened. Lisa called out, “Does upstairs get better?” to which Jeremy humorously responded, “She’s not going to be very pleased.” The grim reality of worn carpets and unpleasant odors awaited them. Jeremy joked about the stickiness of the floors as they inspected the space, including an old freezer emitting a foul smell that made Lisa cringe.

Despite the bargain price and appealing land, the extensive cleanup and renovation required proved too daunting for Jeremy and his team.

Ultimately, fans will be pleased to know that Jeremy found a more suitable location. He is now the proud owner of The Farmer’s Dog in Asthall, near Burford, Oxfordshire. The pub officially opened in August 2024, spanning a five-acre site. It offers lunches, dinners, a weekend carvery, and features an outdoor dining area called The Farmer’s Puppy Kitchen.

Clarkson’s Farm season 4 continues to showcase Jeremy’s ventures in farming and hospitality on Prime Video.
