James Martin wrapped up the final episode of Saturday Morning before the show’s summer break, leaving fans eager for its autumn return.
Since 2017, James Martin’s Saturday Morning has been a staple on ITV, following the chef’s decade-long tenure at BBC’s Saturday Kitchen from 2006 to 2016. This weekend’s episode (June 6) featured guests Atomic Kitten’s Natasha Hamilton, chef Mike Reid, and award-winning chocolatier Mark Tilling.
The show faced a late start due to an ITV scheduling change, as ITV Racing: The Opening Show extended into its usual time slot. Despite this, the episode went ahead with the usual charm and warmth.

As the credits rolled, James delivered the much-anticipated announcement of the seasonal break. “Before we go, because it’s our final show before the summer break, we’ve got to finish off with some ice cream,” he said, serving a sweet end to the season.
Expressing his gratitude, James thanked all guests and the crew, adding, “This is the last show before me and the crew head off for the summer break. We’ll see you back in autumn. Have a good summer, bye for now!”
The show had already shared the news on social media, reassuring fans about the upcoming break with an exciting lineup. The post read: “Can you believe it’s our last show before the summer break today?! Don’t fret, we have a great show coming up! @jamesmartinchef is joined by singer @natashahamilton, chef @mikereidchef, and award-winning chocolatier @mwtchocolate!”

Hoping to see @paulainsw6rth back on the show soon - always brilliant when he’s on!” Another shared, “Well, I will be watching the show later. Viewers expressed their love for the show and anticipation for its return. Comments included, “Love this show, can’t wait for the next season to come back,” and “Another great lineup, so sad it’s your last show. Enjoy your break.” Others lamented the short pause, saying, “Aww no, love watching Saturdays, starts my weekend,” and “Will be watching.
