James Haskell, the ex-rugby union player, recently shared a humorous anecdote about a surprising “kinky” discovery he made while staying at the home of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, the famous television couple and parents of his ex-wife, Chloe Madeley. James and Chloe, who married in 2018 and share a daughter named Bodhi, announced their separation in 2023.
In a candid conversation on the No Parental Guidance podcast, James revealed that he initially had no idea Chloe was the daughter of the well-known TV presenters. This all became clear the night Chloe brought him to her parents' house early in their relationship.
James recalled waking up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and noticing a large photograph of Richard Madeley hanging on the wall. Mistakenly assuming Chloe was into some “kinky” interests, James joked, “I thought, ‘Chloe’s into a bit of kinky s**t.’ I was like, ‘I don’t look anything like that guy.’” He described Richard as “tall, dark and handsome," a stark contrast to himself, casting doubt on their budding relationship.

Once Chloe explained that the photo was of her dad, James swiftly recovered from his initial confusion and lightheartedly suggested they get back to bed. He admitted, “I was like, ‘Okay, fancy another s**g?’”
Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan have been iconic figures on British television since they married in 1986. They rose to fame through their long-running stint on ITV’s “This Morning” and later co-hosted their own show, “Richard and Judy.” Richard continues to appear on TV, including on ITV’s “Good Morning Britain,” while Judy has chosen to step back from the spotlight to explore other interests.
