On Friday evening, ITV aired the final episode of the week for its new game show Millionaire Hot Seat, a fresh take on the classic quiz format that has sparked mixed reactions from viewers.
Hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, the series introduces a unique format where six contestants take turns occupying the “hot seat.” Each player has 15 seconds to answer questions, with the time increasing as the questions become more challenging. Instead of traditional lifelines, each contestant receives one pass they can use to skip a question if unsure.
During Friday’s episode, contestant Daisy Kilbey quickly used her pass, surprising Clarkson, who remarked, “Brief time in the chair, barely warmed it up!” After cycling through the other contestants, the game returned to Daisy for the final question. Despite admitting she “didn’t have a clue,” she took a guess on the £10,000 question—and shockingly, it was correct.

“You are the luckiest human being alive,” Clarkson exclaimed. “You’ve known nothing, and you are leaving here with £10,000.”
Viewers took to social media with mixed opinions. Some praised the excitement of guessing right, while others critiqued the show’s complicated rules. One viewer tweeted, “Does anyone actually understand what the game is? Seems like an over-engineered reinvention.” Another added, “£10k richer! Wild guesses do pay off!” while a third commented on the format’s difficulty, “It’s almost impossible to win anything significant.”
Millionaire Hot Seat is available to stream on ITVX.
