On Friday night, ITV viewers tuned in to the final episode of the week’s new game show Millionaire Hot Seat, a fresh take on the classic quiz format that has sparked mixed reactions.
Hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, the show features six contestants rotating through the “hot seat,” each given just 15 seconds to answer questions as they increase in difficulty. Unlike the traditional Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, players are armed with one “pass” to skip a question if they’re unsure.
During the episode, contestant Daisy Kilbey used her pass quickly, leaving Clarkson surprised at how little time she spent in the hot seat initially. “Brief time in the chair, barely warmed it up!” he joked.

Daisy soon found herself back in the spotlight facing the final and most important question: answer correctly to win £10,000 or settle for a guaranteed £1,000. Admitting she had no clue, she took a wild guess—and remarkably got it right.
Clarkson praised her luck, saying, “You are the luckiest human being alive. You’ve known nothing, and you are leaving here with £10,000.”
The episode prompted lively viewer discussions online, with some praising Daisy’s fortune while others criticized the revamped format. “Does anyone actually understand what the game is? It seems like an over-engineered attempt at reinvention,” one viewer remarked. Another noted, “£10k richer! Wild guesses do pay off!” while a third questioned the game’s ability to award significant prizes consistently.
Millionaire Hot Seat is available for streaming on ITVX.
