A thorough investigation is ongoing following a fatal collision on the A436 in the Cotswolds that resulted in the tragic death of a woman on Thursday evening, May 15. The crash involving two vehicles occurred at approximately 6:40 pm near Notgrove, on the busy route linking Andoversford and Bourton-on-the-Water.
Emergency responders, including an air ambulance, swiftly attended the scene. Despite their efforts, the woman was declared dead at the location.
Four additional individuals were transported to hospital by paramedics. Among them, three are believed to have sustained serious injuries, while a fourth was taken for precautionary medical checks.

The A436 remained closed overnight to facilitate collision investigation work, causing delays for motorists in the area. The road has since reopened to traffic.
The tragic incident has elicited a wave of condolences and support on social media for the victims, their families, and emergency personnel. Messages such as, “So sad. Prayers to the family and loved ones, and all in attendance,” and “Thinking of the families concerned,” reflect the community’s empathy.
