Comedian Alan Carr recently offered an intimate look into Amanda Holden’s off-screen personality, describing her as something of a “Superwoman.” Speaking on his travel podcast, Life’s A Beach, during an episode aired on January 9, Alan shared observations from a chat with Kelly Brook about the realities of holidaying and switching off from work.
Alan asked Kelly about her holiday experiences with husband Jeremy Parisi, who typically takes charge on their adventurous road trips. Kelly explained that unlike their usual active trips, relaxing in the Maldives was a refreshing change, especially since she often finds it difficult to unwind.

Amanda, who is well known as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent and a Heart FM presenter, is described by Alan as keen to “make the most” of her free time. “That’s why she’s like Superwoman," he said. “‘Let’s do this, let’s do this, let’s do this.’” When Kelly queried whether Amanda’s energy was similar to hers, Alan enthusiastically agreed, adding that Amanda needs a rosé just to dial things down. “‘Let’s sit here and have a rosé.’ ‘Let’s do a TikTok dance!’ ‘No, let’s just have a rosé. Let’s just sit here. Let’s not jump about.’”

Alan also shared a humorous insight into his friendship with Amanda. Initially, he thought she might carry some of the celebrity airs common in their industry. However, he quickly realized she was down to earth—a “female version” of himself—full of warmth and humor.
These personal anecdotes align with a recent encounter by journalist Rebecca Jones at an event in London’s Bardo. Jones described Amanda’s dazzling entrance in a glittering gown with feathered dancers and was struck by Amanda’s approachable and chatty nature—consistent with her public persona. Jones remarked on Amanda’s graciousness, noting how she made everyone feel welcome and valued, whether due to professional duty or genuine kindness.
