I’m a Pro Charity Shopper and the UK’s Top Thrift Store is in the Cotswolds

Everyone loves a good bargain, and for 22-year-old Ella, a self-proclaimed “professional charity shopper,” thrift store hunting is serious business. On a recent trip to Snowdrops, a charity shop run by St. Richard’s Hospice in the picturesque Cotswold village of Broadway, she discovered what she believes could be the ultimate UK thrift store.

Ella shared her finds in an engaging video, excitedly unveiling an £8 trench coat that kicked off her haul. She spotted a range of reasonably priced fur jackets from Marks & Spencer, and a vibrant purple Karen Millen handbag alongside a blue Tommy Hilfiger sweatshirt, both priced at just £10.

“The selection of designer brands here is amazing,” she enthused, spotting pieces from Diesel, Whistles, and more. Ella’s enthusiasm extended to the jewellery section, where she found an array of stylish necklaces and belts, including a brown leather belt at £10.

One standout feature of Snowdrops was its dedicated hiking section, stocked with quality hiking boots, fleeces, raincoats, and waterproof trousers. “There was literally everything you need for an outdoor adventure,” she said. Ella also admired the shop’s wide selection of bags, some so tempting she almost bought them all.

Her visit even revealed a quirky touch: a special horse-riding section reflecting the area’s upscale lifestyle. Before leaving, she snatched up a pair of £8 sequin-detailed Dune heels, rounding off a very successful shopping trip.

St. Richard’s Hospice describes the Broadway Snowdrops shop as a charming space fitting seamlessly within the village’s character. It specializes in premium outdoor wear and outfits suited for special occasions. Donations of quality, clean, and undamaged items help fund crucial care for patients and their families across Worcestershire.

As an independent registered charity, St. Richard’s relies heavily on public generosity through donations, fundraising, and legacies, alongside partial NHS funding. This support enables the hospice to provide free, expert care to adults with incurable illnesses and their loved ones.

For those who love finding hidden gems while supporting a worthy cause, Snowdrops in Broadway is a rare treasure that proves charity shopping can be both stylish and meaningful.
