Charlie Parsons, a passionate boxing enthusiast from Cirencester, has turned his love for the sport into an impressive career. At only 22 years old, he has met and worked alongside major figures in boxing, from promoters like Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren to celebrated fighters such as Tyson Fury, Chris Eubank Jr., and Oleksandr Usyk.
Traveling the globe to cover fights—from Sydney to Mexico—Charlie has also established his own boxing media platform, The Stomping Ground, which boasts over 27,000 Instagram followers and 44,000 TikTok followers. Personally, Charlie commands a strong social media presence with more than 40,000 Instagram followers and 200,000 on TikTok under the name ‘Parsons’.
His latest venture is the podcast Fight Your Corner, co-hosted with former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew. The show’s first episodes are already available, promising to feature prominent guests from the boxing and combat sports world.

Despite his growing profile, Charlie remains rooted in Cirencester, a town he moved to as a teenager and holds dear. “I love the Cotswolds,” he said. “Cirencester has been incredibly kind to me, and living here has shaped who I am.”
Charlie’s journey began while studying at Cirencester College during the lockdown. Finding traditional academics less appealing, he channeled his energy into creating boxing content. “I kept messaging fighters, promoters, and pundits relentlessly,” he recalls, which paid off when former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs agreed to a Zoom interview. That breakthrough propelled his content career, initially sharing his work through established channels to build an audience.
Charlie also praises the local boxing scene, highlighting promoter Mark Neilson and community gyms like JJ’s in Cirencester. However, he laments the lack of funding for grassroots boxing across the UK, especially in the southwest, calling it a lost opportunity for youth engagement.
A fun anecdote reveals Charlie’s friendship with renowned promoter Eddie Hearn, who often playfully teases him about Cirencester. “I’d probably take Eddie to The Stump for a Guinness and a pizza,” Charlie says. “It’s a lovely Cotswolds pub I enjoy visiting.”
Beyond boxing, Charlie has interviewed celebrities including musician Ed Sheeran and footballer Declan Rice. While initially starstruck, he quickly learned to treat everyone as equals, a value instilled by his mother.
Working alongside Tony Bellew on Fight Your Corner has been a dream come true. Charlie fondly remembers receiving tickets from his mother to Bellew’s fight against Usyk in 2018. “Tony is not only a fantastic fighter but a genuinely supportive and decent person,” Charlie says.
New podcast episodes drop every Wednesday at 5 pm, with exciting guests lined up. Charlie’s ultimate dream guest? Tyson Fury, imagining a dynamic episode featuring both Fury and Bellew.
For aspiring media professionals, Charlie’s advice is clear: “Be relentless. Reach out, network, and don’t be discouraged by rejection. Stay polite, persistent, and back yourself – anything is possible if you give it your best shot.”
