Iconic 90s Star Natalie Imbruglia to Light Up Gloucester’s Kingsholm Stadium This Summer

Kingsholm Stadium in Gloucester is set to revive its live music tradition this summer after a seven-year hiatus, promising an electrifying lineup that bridges decades and genres. Headlining the Kingsholm Summer Series on Sunday, June 28, is none other than Australian singer and actress Natalie Imbruglia, a 90s icon whose debut single “Torn” captured global attention nearly 30 years ago.

Natalie’s career boasts six studio albums, with a seventh on the horizon, and a collection of prestigious honors including 8 ARIA Awards, 2 Brit Awards, a Billboard Music Award, and 3 Grammy nominations. Her return to Kingsholm marks a special moment, especially sharing the stage with another music legend, Sir Tom Jones.

Joining Natalie on June 28 is rising star Nathan Evans, who gained fame during the Covid-19 pandemic by popularizing sea shanties on TikTok. His rendition of the 19th-century folk song “Wellerman” soared to the top of the UK charts. Nathan will perform alongside Scottish folk duo Saint PHNX, adding fresh folk energy to the evening’s lineup.

Sir Tom Jones, a longtime fan favorite at Kingsholm with sold-out shows in 2012 and a massive 2017 performance, will headline the weekend’s finale. Known for his powerhouse vocals and enduring hits spanning six decades, Tom promises a night filled with unforgettable music and showmanship.

Expressing enthusiasm for the event, Sir Tom Jones said, “I can’t wait to return to Kingsholm Stadium on Sunday 28th June. Gloucester audiences are always fantastic, and with such talented artists joining the bill, it’s going to be a wonderful night of music.”

Natalie Imbruglia reflected on the collaboration, “I’m so excited to be performing at Kingsholm this summer alongside Tom Jones. We first worked together on his Reload album back in 1999, so it’s really special to be sharing the stage together again. He’s an artist I’ve admired for many years, and I know it’s going to be such a special night in Gloucester.”

Nathan Evans added, “Gloucester! We’re so excited to see you on Sunday 28th June, supporting none other than the legend himself, Tom Jones. It’s going to be an incredible night, and we can’t wait to bring the energy to Kingsholm.”

The Kingsholm Summer Series offers more than just music. Attendees will enjoy a vibrant festival atmosphere with diverse food and drink selections curated by Freemans Event Partners and lively fan zones designed to engage and energize music lovers throughout the evening.

Alex Brown, Gloucester Rugby’s Chief Executive Officer, commented on the excitement building around the event: “The response to this year’s Kingsholm Summer Series has already been fantastic, and today’s announcement only adds to the excitement. Tom Jones returning to Kingsholm alongside Natalie Imbruglia and Nathan Evans & The Saint PHNX Band will make for a truly memorable Sunday night in Gloucester, with this year’s Kingsholm Summer Series set to be another standout event for the City.”

The weekend festivities kick off on Saturday, June 27, with Ministry of Sound Classical—a unique concert featuring a 31-piece orchestra reimagining iconic dance tracks backed by stunning laser light shows. Special guests Sigma and Sonique will join for an unforgettable fusion of club beats and orchestral grandeur.

Following the Ministry of Sound Classical set, Kingsholm will transform its rugby pitch into a football viewing arena for England’s World Cup group stage match against Panama, with bars staying open late, blending sport and music for a complete entertainment experience.

This twin-event weekend signals a thrilling new chapter for Kingsholm Stadium as a live music venue and rekindles Gloucester’s connection with world-class performances. Tickets are on sale now, starting from £49.50 for Ministry of Sound Classical and £54.50 for Tom Jones’s concert.
