I Visited Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm Shop—Here’s What’s Changed

YouTuber Gary Hanna, known online as @GaryEats, recently paid a visit to Jeremy Clarkson’s famous Diddly Squat Farm Shop, marking his first trip back since November 2020. Curious to see if the farm shop had maintained its reputation, Gary came away impressed—but noticed one standout change.

On this visit, Gary purchased a selection of sandwiches and fries, enjoying his meal while observing the new offerings at the condiments station. He was surprised to find that customers could now choose between brown sauce and the traditional tomato ketchup—a choice that previously didn’t exist at the shop.

Gary remarked, “I added the brown sauce—now if you want brown sauce or tomato ketchup, that is amazing. Very unusual for Jeremy; he had said he’d never have it here.”

Overall, Gary rated his experience at Diddly Squat around eight out of 10, echoing the positive reviews from other visitors. The farm shop currently holds a strong rating of nearly four and a half stars on Google.

Beyond food, Gary noted that Diddly Squat was gearing up to host the Cereals event, a major trade gathering for the agricultural industry. Jeremy Clarkson emphasized the significance of this event not just nationally but for local farming communities, stating, “This is an important event… Farming is an industry that is in deep trouble. I have the honour of trying to put something back into this beleaguered world.”

The farm shop has recently gained more attention following the launch of season five of Clarkson’s Farm. The focus, however, shifted to Jeremy himself after he revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis in the series’ final episodes. The news was met with an outpouring of global support.

Now 66, Jeremy has announced he is in remission. Speaking to the Sunday Times, he said, “I am without a doubt, officially, the world’s luckiest man. It was an aggressive type of cancer. It could have spread… and that would have been trouble.”

Jeremy also used Instagram to thank supporters and encourage men to get screened for prostate cancer, explaining, “You will have noticed that I’m not dead. The reason why I’m fine is because the doctors caught the prostate cancer early, and they caught it early because I got tested.”
