A fan of Clarkson’s Farm recently shared her firsthand experience visiting Diddly Squat Farm with her family. Jeremy Clarkson, known for Top Gear and The Grand Tour, purchased Diddly Squat Farm in 2008. Since 2021, he has documented his farming adventures in the Amazon Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm, now entering its fourth season. The show centers on the day-to-day life at the 1,000-acre farm near Chipping Norton, West Oxfordshire.
Thanks to the show’s popularity, Diddly Squat Farm draws crowds every week. The farm boasts 2.4 million Instagram followers and welcomes visitors Wednesday through Sunday. While the farm shop offers a wide selection of branded merchandise and local produce, the actual farmland—where barley, wheat, livestock, and honey are produced—is not open for tours.
Ashna, a visitor who posted her experience on TikTok, shared her excitement mixed with a little frustration. Her husband, a fan of the farm, convinced her to visit since it was only an hour’s drive away. She described the scenic journey through the Cotswolds as “absolutely stunning.”

However, upon arrival at 3:30 pm, Ashna encountered large crowds with many others visiting the farm. Unfortunately, they weren’t allowed to join the queue because the shop closed at 4:30 pm and no new entrants were admitted that late.
Undeterred, the family made their way to Clarkson’s pub, The Farmer’s Dog in Asthall, which was just 10 minutes away. Although they hadn’t booked a table—relying on Clarkson’s previous assurance that no booking was needed—they were soon facing long queues. Ashna recounted, “We were told it could be up to three hours before we got a table. But after sitting with a buzzer for just five minutes, we were served promptly.”
The efficient and friendly service left Ashna and her family with positive memories of the day and a strong desire to return.
The only downside? Ashna had hoped to meet Jeremy Clarkson himself. She joked, “Clarkson, where were you? I wanted you to take a picture with my son! Next time, please let me know when you’ll be there.”
Reactions to Ashna’s story were mixed. Some advised better planning for future visits, warning that queues are inevitable. Others defended Clarkson, pointing out he has a life outside the farm. Suggestions even included hiring a Jeremy Clarkson lookalike or having cardboard cutouts for fans to pose with.
Despite the wait times and crowds, many visitors agreed that the experience was worthwhile. Fans eager to see more can watch the latest season of Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon Prime Video.
