I Tried Fish and Chips in Benidorm and Was Shocked by the Price – But It Was Worth Every Penny

British holidaymaker Harry was left amazed after trying fish and chips in the vibrant seaside city of Benidorm. Known online as HarryTokky, he shared his experience from Ray’s Chippy 2, a popular spot praised by tourists as the “best chippy” in town.

Harry ordered a small cod and chips with curry sauce and a drink, paying €13.65 (just under £12). Despite the price, he described the meal as an “absolute bargain.” On social media, he raved about the “super crunchy” batter and the incredible flavours, making it clear this was no ordinary takeaway experience.

“I couldn’t even eat it straight away because it was so hot, but honestly, it’s incredible,” he said. “If you’re in Benidorm, you have to check this place out. Exceptional all the way.”

Other visitors have chimed in with glowing reviews, calling it the “best chippy in Benidorm” and praising the generous portions and great value. Some are already planning their trips just to try the renowned takeaway.

For context, fish and chips typically cost an average of £9.88 in the UK, though prices vary widely. Portions can cost as little as £6.70 in parts of West Yorkshire or soar to £22.50 in London. In comparison, Harry’s Benidorm find proves that good food – even at a steeper price – can be well worth it when the quality is top-notch.
