This Sunday morning, a Gloucestershire village experienced an unusual stir when two horses were reported running loose in Blakeney. At approximately 7 a.m. on June 29, local police received multiple calls about the animals wandering freely, prompting immediate action.
The Forest of Dean Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) quickly responded and located the horses within the village. To ensure their safety and prevent disruption, officers secured the animals on the grounds of the Blakeney Youth Centre along Cinderford Road.
Police used social media to appeal to the community, seeking the horses' owner to come forward and reclaim them. A few hours later, an update confirmed a successful reunion—the horses were collected by their owner without incident.
