Harry Isted and Jordan Moore-Taylor Depart Forest Green Rovers After Contract Decisions

Forest Green Rovers have confirmed that former captain Jordan Moore-Taylor and goalkeeper Harry Isted will not be offered new contracts following the 2025/26 season.

Moore-Taylor, 32, battled injuries throughout the campaign, limiting him to 23 league appearances. His season was notably disrupted by a broken ankle and a subsequent foot infection that ruled him out of the crucial play-off eliminator. Despite these setbacks, the experienced centre-back attracted interest from Torquay United, who are preparing for their National League South promotion play-off final this Saturday.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Harry Isted, 29, had been a consistent presence since his arrival at Forest Green, starting every league match after joining ahead of the clash with Aldershot Town in November. He was only rested for the final regular-season game against Morecambe as part of manager Robbie Savage’s rotation strategy. However, uncertainty loomed following the release of the retained list. Initially told contract renewal hinged on budget considerations, Isted was later informed that his contract would not be extended.
