Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have returned to the UK with their children, Archie and Lilibet, marking a significant change after six years in California. The family chose a private home in the Cotswolds rather than a royal residence, arriving quietly at Birmingham Airport on 26 August.
Shortly after the move, both Archie, aged seven, and Lilibet, aged five, were enrolled in a British school. However, only two days into the term, the children were required to change schools due to safety concerns raised by their security team. The names of both schools have not been disclosed to protect the family’s privacy.

Since settling in the Cotswolds, Meghan shared glimpses of their rural life on Instagram, including family walks through the woods, the children cycling, and their dogs, Pula and Mia, adapting to the countryside setting. While their pets accompanied them from California, their rescue hens remain behind.
Insiders indicate that the Sussexes’ move may not be entirely permanent, as they continue to own their property in Santa Barbara.
