Groundbreaking of New 54-Home Estate with Solar Homes and Community Investments

Persimmon Homes has commenced work on the Cloverlea Gardens, a new 54-home estate in Kingswood, Wooton-under-Edge. The development, attended by Parish councillors Marilyn Basketter and Jean Simmons, marks the beginning of construction activities. The road infrastructure is scheduled to be completed by the end of the month, and a showhome is expected to be unveiled later this summer. The pricing details for the two, three, and four-bedroom properties are yet to be announced.

The homes in Cloverlea Gardens will be equipped with solar panels and electric vehicle charging points, emphasizing eco-friendly living. The development also underscores Persimmon’s commitment to the community, as it will contribute £218,000 towards secondary education and £10,600 for local libraries.

Situated on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, Kingswood offers a variety of local amenities, including independent shops, cafes, restaurants, and a post office. For more extensive shopping needs, the Yate Shopping Centre, located just over seven miles away, provides ample options.

The upcoming launch of the showhome and the subsequent introduction to customers later in the year is eagerly anticipated by Persimmon.

In appreciation of Persimmon’s collaborative approach with the community, Jean Simmons, a parish councillor for Kingswood, extended gratitude and emphasized the importance of continued engagement as the new homes are built.

As part of its Community Champions initiative, Persimmon has made a recent contribution to the Stroud District Foodbank, demonstrating its commitment to supporting charitable causes across the UK.
