On Friday night’s Celebrity Gogglebox, Shaun Ryder didn’t hold back as he took a sly dig at Jeremy Clarkson. The Happy Mondays singer and Bez joined the panel of celebrities watching and commenting on a variety of TV moments.
The episode featured a diverse lineup, including Vicky Pattison, Pete Wicks, Jamie Laing, Munya Chawawa, Strictly stars Ellie Simmonds and Richie Anderson, and Krishnan Guru-Murthy alongside his daughter Jasmine. Among the clips was a segment from Jeremy Clarkson’s show, Clarkson’s Farm, which inspired Shaun’s cutting remark.
In the clip, Jeremy turned to his farmhand Harriet for support during an auction, saying, “There’s no need to panic because Harriet had kindly agreed to come along and hold my hand.” Shaun seized the moment to quip, “I actually don’t believe that Jeremy’s not got a clue, really. He’s a f**king know-it-all, isn’t he?”

Harriet stepped in this season as Kaleb Cooper took a break from filming to focus on his book tour. Kaleb later clarified the rumors that Harriet had permanently replaced him, assuring fans, “I’m still involved, yeah. There’s lots of rumors going out that I’ve been replaced but I’m still here.” He also expressed his gratitude, saying, “Of course Harriet stepped in as I jumped away on tour, so I’m very grateful that Harriet came along and saved the day.”
Fans of the celebrity edition of Gogglebox were quick to praise the episode, describing it as “brilliant and funny.” Social media buzz included compliments for Rylan Clark and his mum Linda, and applause for James Buckley’s wife, Clair, for her sharp and ironic commentary.
