Cheltenham’s DEYA Brewing Company has once again secured top honours at the Top 50 UK Beer Awards, with their flagship pale ale, Steady Rolling Man, crowned the UK’s best pint for 2026. This marks the second time the hazy New England Pale Ale has taken the top spot since 2024, reinforcing its reputation as a consistent crowd favourite.
The annual awards, in their third year, bring together insights from over 150 beer experts and more than 6,000 drinkers and hospitality professionals nationwide. Organised by industry specialists We Are Beer, the event recognises the most influential and well-crafted brews across the UK market.
Steady Rolling Man, brewed at DEYA’s Cheltenham facility on Gloucester Road, is celebrated for its velvety texture and vibrant tropical fruit aromas, delivered through a masterful blend of barley, wheat, and oats. The beer features juicy notes of pineapple, mango, passion fruit, and citrus, balanced by a gentle bitterness that creates a perfectly rounded experience. At 5.2% ABV and 100% vegan-friendly, it is available for £4.50 per 500ml can via DEYA’s website.

Theo Freyne, DEYA’s founder, expressed pride in their flagship beer’s continued success: “Steady Rolling Man has always been the cornerstone of our business, comprising over half our production volume. Since topping the charts in 2024, its popularity and reach have expanded immensely. We’re on pace to brew more than two million pints this year alone.”
DEYA has recently launched the “Steady Rolling Man, Pale Ale of Independents” campaign, spotlighting the beer’s unique design tailored specifically to independent venues. Freyne emphasised, “Quality remains our utmost priority. Every pint of Steady Rolling Man is crafted to perfection, and this accolade confirms we’re achieving just that.”
Adding to their impressive lineup, DEYA also placed Boost, a 4% pale ale bursting with lime, passionfruit, and tropical notes, at number 28 on the Top 50 list. Priced at £4.20 per can, Boost is another popular choice among craft beer enthusiasts.
This repeat triumph cements DEYA Brewing’s status as a leading force in the UK craft beer scene, with Steady Rolling Man continuing to set the benchmark for quality pale ales.
