Gloucestershire clinched their second successive victory in Division Two, marking only their third red-ball triumph throughout the summer season, with a dominant performance at Old Trafford on the final day.
Lancashire resumed their innings at 120 for six, requiring an additional 128 runs to claim victory. However, Gloucestershire’s bowlers swiftly dismantled the remaining batting line-up in under an hour. JT Langridge played a pivotal role, delivering a standout bowling performance in just his second first-class appearance.
The innings' collapse began early when George Balderson edged Langridge’s third delivery to Ollie Price at second slip. Following shortly, Noman Ali was adjudged lbw to Langridge, and Mitch Stanley was caught at silly mid-off off Sai Kishore’s bowling.

Rocky Flintoff, unbeaten on 57 overnight, was the final wicket to fall, scoring a career-best 65 before hitting a Langridge delivery to long-off. Langridge’s remarkable figures of five for 51 underscored his impact on the match.
With this victory, Gloucestershire have accumulated a total of 82 points in the Division Two standings. Lancashire remain 18 points adrift in second-from-bottom position, with only two rounds of fixtures remaining.
Gloucestershire will conclude their season with a home fixture against Middlesex, commencing on Tuesday, followed by an away match at Kent starting a week on Thursday.
