Gloucester stands out as the most affordable place to buy a home in Gloucestershire. In the GL1 postcode area, the average house price was £205,106 over the 12 months ending in April, making it the cheapest among all Gloucestershire postcode areas with at least 20 property sales in that period.

Following GL1, the GL14 postcode area covering Cinderford offers homes at an average price of £266,756. Other affordable areas include GL4 (Gloucester) at £284,316, GL15 (Blakeney) at £294,721, and GL16 (Coleford) at £302,706.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Broadway’s WR12 postcode area commands the highest average house prices in Gloucestershire, with homes fetching an average of £666,215. Charlbury, in the OX7 postcode area, comes next with an average price of £614,481. Other high-value areas include GL55 (Chipping Campden) at £576,830, GL54 (Cheltenham) at £561,892, and GL56 (Moreton-in-Marsh) at £536,014.
