Derek Johnson, a 58-year-old homeless man, has been formally charged with 18 child sexual offences connected to three victims. Johnson, who has no fixed address, is set to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on Tuesday, July 15.
The charges follow an investigation by Gloucestershire Police’s Child Exploitation Team. The Crown Prosecution Service has authorized the charges, accusing Johnson of 15 counts of sexual activity with a child and three counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
Johnson was remanded in custody after appearing at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on June 4.
