An elderly man has tragically died after a crash involving his electric bike in the Gloucestershire countryside. The incident occurred on Saturday, May 23, at approximately 8:50 am on Tickshill in Coaley, near Twyning Ash.
Gloucestershire Police confirmed that the man, who was riding an Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC), suffered serious injuries in the collision. Emergency services responded promptly, and he was transported to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for urgent treatment.
Despite medical efforts, the man, aged in his 70s, later passed away due to his injuries. Police have extended their condolences to his family, who are now receiving support from specially trained officers.
