An elderly man in his seventies has died after a serious bike crash in the Gloucestershire countryside. The incident occurred on the morning of Saturday, May 23, on Tickshill in Coaley, near Twyning Ash.
According to Gloucestershire Police, the man was riding an Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle when the collision happened at approximately 8:50 am. Emergency services promptly responded, and he was transported to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with serious injuries.
Despite medical treatment, the man later passed away. His family is receiving support from specially trained officers during this difficult time.

The Gloucestershire Roads Policing Unit is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Police are appealing for any witnesses or individuals who may have CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist the inquiry to come forward.
