Winning the toss, Gloucestershire posted a competitive total of 148 for 8. Ben Charlesworth anchored the innings with a top score of 49 off 34 balls. Worcestershire spinner Sikandar Raza impressed with figures of 1 for 19 across four tight overs, supported by two wickets each from Tom Taylor and Matthew Waite.
Worcestershire’s chase began poorly, collapsing to 28 for 4, with all four early wickets claimed by Jansen. Despite a resilient 47 off 31 balls from Sikandar Raza, Worcestershire fell agonizingly short, finishing on 145 all out. Marchant de Lange and Jack Taylor both chipped in with two wickets apiece to finish the bowling effort.

Gloucestershire’s innings started well in the powerplay, scoring 51 runs despite losing three wickets. D’Arcy Short was dismissed for a golden duck by Tom Taylor early on. Subsequent quick wickets followed with Joe Phillips caught at point and Miles Hammond bowled by Adam Finch after a brief but impactful cameo. Taylor’s three overs in the powerplay yielded 2 for 20.
Later, Gloucestershire capitalized on spin bowling from Usama Mir and Sikandar Raza. Charlesworth greeted Mir’s first over with a six, pushing Gloucestershire to 76 for 3 after ten overs. While Raza kept things tight, the hosts maintained a steady run rate.
