Two residents of Gloucestershire have each won £1 million through the UK Millionaire Maker raffle linked to EuroMillions, creating two new millionaires within just a few months.
The winners, who chose to remain anonymous, include a woman in her 50s who won on Boxing Day and a man in his 60s who won on Halloween.
The woman’s fortunate win came shortly after she received a new phone for Christmas. After updating the National Lottery app the following day, she purchased a Lucky Dip ticket that turned out to be a £1 million winner. Grateful and humbled by her good fortune, she expressed her desire to share her winnings with loved ones who have supported her.

She said, “I feel very privileged, overwhelmed, happy, and also humble. This win gives me the opportunity to enjoy my life, family, and home in ways I never thought possible.”
The man, who won two months earlier, plans to use his prize to enjoy retirement and spend quality time with family. Reflecting on his win, he shared, “After all these years of playing my numbers, I never expected to win through the raffle! It’s an incredible feeling, and I’m looking forward to making the most of my retirement and creating wonderful memories with my family.”
Andy Carter, Senior Winners' Advisor at Allwyn, the operator of The National Lottery, congratulated the winners: “It’s fantastic to see two Gloucestershire residents celebrating £1 million prizes. A new phone leading to a £1 million win is quite the Christmas present. It’s wonderful that both winners can share their good fortune with the people who matter most to them. Congratulations to both!”
