Temperatures in Gloucestershire could rise to as high as 27°C next week, according to recent weather forecasting models.
The county is one of 24 across England where the latest Global Forecast System (GFS) model suggests temperatures could reach 27°C or above. Weather maps indicate a warmer spell developing next Tuesday and Wednesday, with Gloucestershire potentially among those areas experiencing the highest temperatures.
This week, the Met Office expects temperatures to remain generally in the low 20s Celsius, though southern parts of the UK may see highs of 24°C to 25°C towards the weekend.

Before the warmer conditions arrive, unsettled weather is expected, with cloud cover, rain, and significant showers forecast across large parts of the UK tomorrow. Conditions are then anticipated to improve in the following week.
GFS model data shows temperatures could reach 27°C across parts of central and southern England on Tuesday. By Wednesday, some western and south-eastern areas could see temperatures as high as 28°C, with widespread 27°C temperatures predicted.

However, these forecasts remain subject to change, particularly given the several days' lead time.
Looking further ahead, the Met Office anticipates potential for “dry and more settled periods” from next week, alongside some “rather warm days”.
The forecast for 13 to 22 September states: “Remaining changeable, with occasional rain or showers arriving from the North Atlantic, most frequent across northern and western parts of the UK, where some strong winds will also be possible at times.
“However, there will also be some reasonable dry and more settled periods, especially across southern areas. Later in the month, high pressure may become more dominant near the UK, possibly bringing more widely settled conditions for a time, particularly away from the far north.
“Temperatures for the period as a whole will probably be close to average overall, but there is scope for some rather warm days at times, along with occasional relatively cool nights.”
