Gloucester Rugby will kick off their 2026/27 PREM Rugby Cup campaign with an away match against Bristol Bears on September 5. The Cherry and Whites have been drawn into Group A, which includes their familiar South West rivals Bath, Bristol Bears, and Exeter Chiefs, alongside Sale Sharks.
This season’s PREM Rugby Cup maintains the same format as previous years, with the 10 Gallagher Premiership clubs divided into two groups of five. Each team will play eight matches during the group stages, with two scheduled bye weekends. The first two rounds will take place in September before the Premiership league season begins. The remaining eight rounds and the knockout stages will be held during international windows in the Autumn and during the Six Nations Championship.
Once all group matches conclude after Round 10, the top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, followed by the final to determine the champion.
