Gloucester Rugby have confirmed the signings of New Zealand youngsters Callum McCabe and Halen King, who will both be with the club until the end of November. The club retains the option to make the deals permanent beyond that period.
Both players are English-qualified and have advanced through the Chiefs' Super Rugby development pathway. Their recent inclusion in a New Zealand Under-20s training camp highlights their standing as promising emerging talents in New Zealand rugby.
Fly-half Callum McCabe, aged 19, expressed his enthusiasm about the move: “I’m really excited for the opportunity here at Gloucester and to test myself in a Gallagher Premiership environment. Everyone – the coaches and players – have been very welcoming, and I can’t wait to get out there on the field with them.”

Scrum-half Halen King, 20, also spoke about his anticipation of playing in Gloucester: “I know rugby is a huge part of the community here, much like back home. I’m really looking forward to playing in front of The Shed. I’m very grateful for this opportunity and will be giving my all to impress over the next few months.”
The addition of McCabe and King brings fresh talent to the Cherry & Whites as they prepare for the upcoming challenges in the Premiership season.
