Gloucester Rugby is rumored to be in talks with Argentina international blindside flanker Joaquin Moro, as he prepares for a move to Europe this summer.
The Cherry and Whites seem to be nearing the completion of their recruitment for the 2025/26 season. They have already secured two backrow recruits: South African flanker James Venter from the Hollywoodbet Sharks and Glasgow Warriors number eight Jack Mann. However, the team is also facing potential departures, with England’s Zach Mercer and Fijian Albert Tuisue expected to join French sides. The future of Ruan Ackermann, who has been performing well in the number eight position, is uncertain as his contract expires this summer after playing 169 games since his arrival from the Lions in 2017.
At 24, Moro currently plays for Pampas XV in Super Rugby Americas and has already made an impact in international rugby, scoring a brace of tries on his Test debut in a one-sided 79-5 victory over Uruguay last summer.

Reports from RugbyPass suggest that Leicester Tigers are also interested in Moro and are leading the chase for his signature. Despite potential significant departures from Kingsholm this summer, Gloucester still boasts depth in the back-row, with Jack Clement making a mark in the Gallagher Premiership this season.
Gloucester’s backline is also expected to undergo changes this summer, with Christian Wade, Santi Carreras, Charlie Chapman, Gareth Anscombe, and Chris Harris all set to depart. In response, George Skivington has confirmed plans to recruit an additional number nine to provide depth behind Wales star Tomos Williams and Caolan Englefield.
Meanwhile, 34-year-old Scottish international Harris is ending his Gloucester career impressively, with rumors suggesting a possible move to France next season. Perpignan, Racing 92, and Stade Francais are reportedly interested in securing his services.
