Gloucester Quays has confirmed that Hollister, the American lifestyle brand, will be opening its first outlet store in the South West region at the shopping centre. This new signing has been described by Gloucester Quays' management as a “fantastic milestone” in the centre’s ongoing growth.
Hollister, part of the Abercrombie & Fitch Company, is renowned for its casual clothing collections targeting teenagers and young adults. While the brand was once known for employing staff as ‘models’ and its distinctive moody lighting, it has since evolved its image to focus on fashion and inclusivity.
Currently, there are no Hollister stores in Gloucestershire. Though an official opening date has yet to be announced, job vacancies for a manager and assistant manager have recently been posted on the Hollister website, signalling progress towards launch.

Peel Retail & Leisure, owners of Gloucester Quays, revealed that Hollister has secured an 8,000 square foot unit on High Orchard Street, conveniently positioned next to the main entrance of the outlet mall and opposite the stores Sostrene Grene and All Saints. The location is expected to resonate well with Gloucester Quays’ increasing number of young and student visitors.
A spokesperson for Peel Retail & Leisure commented, “Hollister’s combination of men’s and women’s seasonal collections, available at outlet prices, complements our existing fashion brands such as Jack Wills, Levi’s, The North Face, and Adidas.”
They added, “Opening the first South West Hollister outlet in Gloucester Quays confirms the centre’s strong reputation and its extensive regional appeal. The centre continues to attract prominent brands first, exemplified by Berghaus opening its first standalone store in the region here, and it also hosts the only South West outlet for All Saints. Hollister’s arrival further enriches our diverse mix of premium brands, dining options, and leisure facilities, strengthening Gloucester Quays as a leading all-day destination.”
Paul Carter, Asset Director at Peel Retail & Leisure, stated, “Securing Hollister for its first South West outlet store is a remarkable achievement for Gloucester Quays. This reflects the strength of the destination and our ability to consistently attract sought-after brands looking for prime locations with engaged audiences.
“Adding Hollister enhances our fashion offer and is the result of steady footfall and sales growth together with a carefully curated tenant mix. Gloucester Quays continues to evolve to remain relevant and exciting for visitors.”
Peel Retail & Leisure also noted that Gloucester Quays has experienced a record-breaking start to the year, with increasing visitor numbers, robust retail and leisure performance, and ongoing leasing momentum, all underscoring its status as the South West’s leading outlet shopping centre.
