Gloucester is officially in the holiday spirit as the city council announces a full calendar of festive events for residents and visitors to enjoy. With Christmas lights now twinkling across the city, the atmosphere is set for a joyful and lively Christmas season.
Caroline Courtney, Gloucester City Council’s culture and leisure cabinet member for Tuffley, expressed her excitement about the season’s offerings. Speaking at a meeting held at North Warehouse on November 20, she invited everyone to embrace the festive cheer. “I’m delighted to announce that the festive period in Gloucester has officially begun,” Courtney said.
The recent lantern procession was a shining start to the celebrations, and many more events are planned at The Guildhall and throughout the city. From musicals and candlelight concerts to family-friendly activities like cookie decorating and crafting Christmas decorations, there is something for all ages to enjoy.
