Bristol Airport is preparing to unveil a new, expansive travellers' lounge on its first floor, set to open in the upcoming summer. The space boasts 140 additional seats and offers panoramic views of the Eastern apron through its floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
Passengers can already secure their access by pre-booking for the lounge’s much-anticipated launch. Segmented sections and a designated dining area, complete with breakfast bars, tables, and seating, will be featured within the lounge.
Alongside self-serve islands for tea, coffee, and cold beverages, the lounge will provide an array of gastronomic options, spanning from breakfast and brunch to lunch, dinner, and light suppers.

The new Escape Lounge, inspired by the local area, aims to cater to all travelers by offering distinct zones for dining, work, and relaxation, including a comfortable seating area with soft cushions - perfect for couples and families looking to commence their holidays. Additionally, designated quiet workspaces will be available for business travelers, all adorned with a neutral decor and ambient lighting, with access facilitated through a new walkway next to the Cabin bar.
While the construction of the new lounge is underway, the existing lounge will continue to serve customers. The airport has assured further updates regarding the utilization of the current space.
Expressing anticipation, Kate Gwyther, Head of Commercial at Bristol Airport, conveyed her excitement, “It’s exciting to see the next step of our multi-million-pound terminal transformation take place. The new lounge will more than double in size, providing a relaxing atmosphere. This is one of the many changes customers can look forward to in the departure lounge, with more exciting news to follow.”
Rob Hassard, representing CAVU – the company overseeing Escape Lounges, expressed delight: “We’re delighted to announce the opening of our new lounge at Bristol Airport and to offer travelers the opportunity to pre-book their visit prior to the new space opening.” He stressed the advantages for passengers, stating, “A visit to the lounge ensures a smooth, relaxing start to any journey, providing a comfortable space to unwind before a flight. Our mission is to transform the airport experience, and we’re thrilled to bring a new, elevated offering to Bristol and contribute to their ongoing transformation.”
