Montpellier, one of Cheltenham’s most fashionable neighborhoods, is renowned for its unique blend of independent boutiques, art galleries, and specialty shops, all complemented by chic cafés and lively bars. This vibrant district is about to become even more dynamic with a host of new businesses preparing to open their doors soon.

Cheltenham Vibe recently shared an exciting preview of what’s coming to Montpellier, revealing a diverse lineup of fresh establishments just steps apart—from a trendy cocktail bar and authentic Indian restaurant to a stylish fashion boutique.

On Montpellier Walk, the former ASK Italian restaurant will be reborn as Bandook, an acclaimed Indian eatery known for its flavorful dishes and already popular Bath location. Although an official opening date hasn’t been announced, Bandook’s branding now adorns the venue’s exterior, building anticipation among local food enthusiasts.

Meanwhile, a few doors down, the space formerly occupied by Urban Fox cocktail bar is set to transform into Plates and Shakers. This new cocktail and tapas bar originally in Ross-on-Wye earned the title of Best Cocktail Bar at the 2025 Midlands Food and Beverage Hospitality Awards. While the timeline for Cheltenham’s launch remains under wraps, the venue’s exterior showcases glowing TripAdvisor reviews, hinting at an eagerly awaited arrival.

Also on Montpellier Walk, the previous Slate Clothing store is transitioning into Busby & Fox, an independent women’s fashion brand with a growing presence across the South West, including locations in Cirencester and Oxford. The Cheltenham branch is currently hiring, seeking individuals passionate about effortless style to join their team.

Over at Queen’s Circus, Koco Bloom will soon open a Pilates and wellbeing studio. Featuring mindfulness classes and holistic treatments within four serene treatment rooms, Koco Bloom aims to offer a sanctuary of relaxation and health. Preparations are underway for an anticipated August opening, with the studio introducing its team on Instagram.

In other culinary news, Cheltenham recently welcomed Millie’s Brasserie, a modern British restaurant with European influences located at the roundabout connecting Suffolk Square and Lansdown Road. Since opening last month, it has garnered rave reviews for its exceptional dining experience, with patrons praising both the quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere.

Keep an eye on Montpellier’s evolving landscape as these exciting new ventures breathe fresh energy into the district, making it an even more enticing destination for locals and visitors alike.
