Forest Green Rovers Winger Kyle McAllister Draws Interest from Gillingham, Oldham Athletic, and Dundee United

Forest Green Rovers winger Kyle McAllister is attracting interest from several clubs, including Gillingham, Oldham Athletic, and Scottish Premiership side Dundee United, according to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke.

McAllister has become one of Forest Green’s most reliable players following the summer squad overhaul. This season, he has netted nine goals, including a notable strike against Luton Town in the FA Cup.

At 27 years old, McAllister’s contract at The New Lawn is set to expire this summer, after three-and-a-half years with the club. However, with the January transfer window entering its final week, there is potential for him to make a move sooner.

A former Scotland under-21 international, McAllister began his career in the St. Mirren academy before signing with Derby County in January 2017. After two seasons in England, he returned to St. Mirren on loan in January 2019, eventually rejoining them on a permanent basis.

With Forest Green reportedly also facing interest in key players like Laurent Mendy and having already lost Harry Whitwell, who was recalled by West Brom earlier this window, the club might face challenges maintaining squad strength as they push for promotion.
