Forest Green Rovers Suffer Stoppage-Time Defeat to Altrincham

Forest Green Rovers were handed a heart-breaking defeat in the National League after Kahrel Reddin scored a stoppage-time winner to secure a 2-1 victory for visiting side Altrincham at The New Lawn.

The match remained goalless through the opening 45 minutes, but Altrincham broke the deadlock shortly after the interval. Jimmy Knowles put the Reds ahead in the 54th minute with a powerful strike from distance.

Forest Green responded immediately, with Kyle McAllister levelling the score thanks to some impressive play by Ricardo Rees on the wing, which created the opportunity.

Both teams battled intensely for a winning goal in a tense finale. However, deep into the added time, Sam Taylor made a swift run and delivered a precise cross to Reddin, who calmly tapped the ball into the net at the back post, sealing a dramatic victory for Altrincham.

The defeat marks Forest Green Rovers' third consecutive loss in the National League, as Robbie Savage saw his side slip further down the table following their late concession.
