Forest Green Rovers suffer late defeat to Altrincham after stoppage-time goal

Forest Green Rovers endured a disappointing defeat as Kahrel Reddin secured a stoppage-time winner to hand Altrincham a 2-1 victory at The New Lawn. The match, watched by manager Robbie Savage, saw Altrincham take the lead in the 54th minute through Jimmy Knowles. However, Kyle McAllister rapidly restored parity for Forest Green, setting the stage for a tense finish.

Despite both sides pressing for the winner, the decisive moment came deep into added time. Sam Taylor broke forward before delivering a precise pass to Reddin, who calmly slotted the ball home at the back post, sealing the win for the visitors.

The first half had ended goalless, but Knowles' long-range effort put Altrincham ahead shortly after the interval. Forest Green responded well, with Ricardo Rees making an influential run out wide that helped create McAllister’s equaliser. Yet, the hosts were unable to capitalise further, and Savage witnessed his team suffer their third consecutive National League defeat with that last-gasp goal from Reddin.
