Temi Babalola, the 25-year-old striker currently at Forest Green Rovers, is poised to make a move to fellow National League side Sutton United. Babalola originally joined Forest Green in October 2025, transferring from Worthing after impressing against the Rovers in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying round.
During his time at Forest Green, Babalola appeared in 15 consecutive league matches, netting four goals. However, his playing time diminished after the club signed Ricardo Rees, who secured Babalola’s spot in the squad. With a competitive forward line that includes Kairo Mitchell, Josh Osude, D’Mani Mellor, and Rees, Forest Green has a wealth of options up front following the departure of Christian Doidge.
Standing 6ft 3in tall, Babalola saw limited action towards the close of the season, featuring in only three of the final 16 games and accumulating just 62 minutes on the pitch.

Both Forest Green Rovers and Sutton United were relegated from League Two in the 2023-24 season, each finishing with 42 points and falling three points short of safety. Sutton United then narrowly avoided relegation from the National League by finishing 19th, just five points above the drop to Step 2.
Babalola’s anticipated transfer to Sutton United comes as both clubs rebuild their squads for the upcoming season.
