Forest Green Rovers have bolstered their midfield options with the addition of Preston Fearon on a one-month loan from Championship club West Ham United.
Nineteen-year-old Fearon comes with a wealth of experience at youth level, having made over 70 appearances across West Ham’s academy teams. His previous outings include matches in the EFL Trophy and National League Cup, alongside 20 appearances for West Ham’s Under-21 side during last season’s Premier League 2 campaign, where he contributed seven goals and one assist.
In addition to his club performances, Fearon has represented England at the Under-20 level, earning his first cap in March during an international friendly against Italy’s Under-20 team.

Manager Robbie Savage expressed his enthusiasm about the signing, saying: “He’ll be great for us over the next one to three months. He’ll bring energy, creativity, skill and a solid work ethic. We’re delighted to have secured one of the best young talents in the country. Having already played for England under-20s, he’s chosen Forest Green as his first senior club, which speaks volumes about his ambition and potential.”
In a separate move, Forest Green confirmed the permanent signing of 22-year-old midfielder Adeteye Gbadehan after a successful trial period with the club.
Gbadehan has signed a one-year contract and previously made 14 appearances last season for MLS Next Pro side St Louis Two. Demonstrating versatility across the midfield, he is eager to make an impact at his new club.
Expressing his excitement, Gbadehan said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be here. The lads, the gaffer and the staff have been great since I arrived. I just cannot wait to get going now and show people what I’m about.”
