Forest Green Rovers Strengthen Squad with Preston Fearon Loan and Adeteye Gbadehan Signing

Forest Green Rovers have bolstered their squad with the addition of midfielder Preston Fearon, who has joined on a one-month loan from Championship side West Ham United.

Fearon, 19, has featured in over 70 matches across West Ham’s academy teams and has experience playing in the EFL Trophy and National League Cup. Last season, he made 20 appearances for West Ham’s Under-21 team in the Premier League 2, netting seven goals and providing one assist.

He also has international experience, having earned one cap for England Under-20s, making his debut in a friendly against Italy in March.

On Fearon’s arrival, Forest Green Rovers manager Robbie Savage commented: “He’ll be great for us over the next one to three months. He will bring energy, creativity, skill, and a strong work ethic. We’re delighted to have him; he is undoubtedly one of the best young players in the country. Having played for England Under-20s, he has chosen Forest Green as his first senior destination.”

In addition to Fearon’s loan, the club confirmed the permanent signing of midfielder Adeteye Gbadehan following a successful trial. The versatile 22-year-old has signed a one-year contract with Forest Green Rovers.

Adeteye featured 14 times last season for MLS Next Pro side St Louis Two. Upon signing, he expressed his enthusiasm: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be here. The lads, the gaffer, and the staff have been great since I arrived. I just cannot wait to get going now and show people what I’m about.”
