Forest Green Rovers Strengthen Squad with Double Signing of Omari Patrick and Kyle Kelly

Forest Green Rovers have bolstered their squad with two key signings: forward Omari Patrick on a permanent deal and midfielder Kyle Kelly on a season-long loan from Liverpool.

Kyle Kelly, 20, has been part of Liverpool’s youth system since 2018 and recently featured for their under-21 side. Kelly also brings international experience, having earned eight caps for St Kitts and Nevis, including a goal scored in a March friendly against the Solomon Islands.

The loan deal is initially set for six months, to the delight of Forest Green Rovers’ manager, Robbie Savage. “What a great guy," Savage commented. “We’re very excited to have Kyle join us. He’s known for his tenacity, work rate, and tackling ability—a promising young talent highly regarded at Liverpool.”

Shortly after securing Kelly’s loan, Forest Green Rovers finalized the permanent signing of Omari Patrick. The 29-year-old forward left Tranmere Rovers at the end of last season, where he scored seven goals in 41 appearances during the 2025-26 campaign.

Patrick’s career also includes stints with Carlisle United—where he contributed to their promotion to League One in 2023—as well as Sutton United, Bradford City, and Kidderminster. His arrival is expected to add valuable experience and firepower to Forest Green’s attacking options.
