Forest Green Rovers have strengthened their defensive options by acquiring centre-back Filozofe Mabete on a six-month loan from Swindon Town.
The 21-year-old right-footed defender marks the Green Devils' ninth signing this summer, joining the squad ahead of their National League season opener against Halifax Town.
Mabete joined Swindon Town in June 2025 after progressing through Wolverhampton Wanderers' youth ranks, where he made 114 appearances for the club’s Under-18, Under-21, and Under-23 sides between 2021 and 2025.

Since his move to Swindon, the DR Congo youth international impressed by making 33 appearances in the 2025/26 season and netting two goals. He has also maintained a consistent presence throughout this pre-season, starting every game for the Robins.
Forest Green Rovers manager Robbie Savage expressed his satisfaction with the new signing, stating:

With Mabete’s arrival, Forest Green Rovers aim to bolster their backline as they prepare for the challenges of the upcoming season.
