Forest Green Rovers are reportedly close to securing a deal for Merthyr Town’s prolific striker, Ricardo Rees. The 26-year-old Welshman has drawn attention from several clubs, including Bristol Rovers, with a final decision on his future expected by January 1.
Rees has been in sensational form this season, netting 25 goals in just 24 league appearances in the National League North. His recent performances include a goal and an assist in Merthyr Town’s latest match against Hereford, underscoring his vital contribution to the team.
A product of the Bristol City academy, Rees has built his career through stints at Bath City, Salisbury, and Yate Town before joining Merthyr in the 2022/23 season. His goal-scoring prowess is now attracting interest beyond the National League North.
