Forest Green Rovers are reportedly close to securing a loan deal for Bristol City’s promising midfielder Elijah Morrison. Sources, including Bristol Live’s Dan Carter, indicate that while the deal is not fully finalized, an agreement is imminent.
The 19-year-old midfielder, capable of playing as a left-midfielder or left-back, has appeared four times in Championship fixtures during the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons. However, he has yet to feature in league matches this season, despite participating in Bristol City’s 2-0 EFL Cup victory over MK Dons in August.
Morrison’s talent was recognized in May 2024 when he earned a call-up to England’s Under-18 squad, making his debut as a substitute in a 4-2 win over Northern Ireland. His development began with Bristol Inner City Football Academy before joining Bristol City’s Under-16 ranks in 2022.

Throughout this season, Morrison has mostly been an unused substitute for Bristol City, listed on the bench twelve times. He has also gained valuable experience playing full 90 minutes in all five Premier League Cup matches for Bristol City U-21s.
The loan move to Forest Green Rovers aims to provide Morrison with more regular first-team football, helping him to further develop and showcase his abilities at a competitive level.
