Forest Green Rovers Held to 1-1 Draw at Carlisle United

Carlisle United were once again held to a draw at home on Tuesday evening, sharing the spoils 1-1 with Forest Green Rovers at Brunton Park. This marked the Cumbrians' second home draw in just four days as they continue their second season in the National League.

The visitors struck first when Forest Green midfielder Kyle Kelly headed in a goal eight minutes into the match, capitalising on a well-delivered cross from Jayden Clarke. Early in the game, Carlisle had hoped for a penalty after Teddy Jenks went down in the area within the first minute, but the referee denied the appeal.

Carlisle’s resilience paid off before half-time when they equalised in the 29th minute. Following some defensive errors from Forest Green, Jenks seized the opportunity, setting up Micah Obiero, who drove the ball home to level the score.
