Forest Green Rovers are reportedly set to finalize the signing of promising centre-back Gabe Kircough from Penybont. The 21-year-old defender is believed to have already completed his medical ahead of the move to Nailsworth.
Kircough, who began his career at Pontardawe before joining Penybont’s academy in 2021, has made a significant impact in the Cymru Premier. This season, he has netted one goal and played a key role in Penybont’s UEFA Conference League Qualifiers campaign. Currently, Penybont sits third in the Cymru Premier standings, with Kircough being a consistent presence—appearing in all but two league matches so far.
Despite his youth, Kircough brings valuable experience, boasting 120 professional appearances across both clubs. His arrival is timely for Forest Green Rovers, who are coping with injuries to key defenders, including Ryan Inniss, sidelined for six weeks, and club captain Jordan Moore-Taylor, also absent for an extended period.
